"Mallards on the Wetland"
Original painting to be raffled by the Friends of the Preble County Park District to raise funds for a picnic shelter for the Allen and Adaline Garber Nature Center. The shelter will be a multi-use facility providing a location for educational programs, a meeting area for family reunions and other groups, and a small storage area for the Park District.
Roberta Loman, Eaton resident and an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist at both Metroparks and the Preble County Park District, is the painting artist.
The outside dimensions of the framed picture are: 29 1/2" long x 25 5/8" high. It has a Barn siding frame with a double acid-free matboard. The medium is
Gouache on Strathmore 400 Bristol.
The painting is being shown at the following location:
- Roselius Insurance, 9 S. Main Street, West Alexandria, March 5 to March 15, 2010
Mail-in cards with the raffle information are available at Roselius Insurance. A raffle ticket is for $25.00 and only 50 tickets will be sold.
The winning raffle ticket will be drawn by the artist after the 50 paid raffle tickets are received. As of March 7, 2010, a total of 10 tickets have been sold.
