Meetings of the Friends of the Preble County Park District are held on a quarterly basis. The next meeting will be in the summer of 2008.

On April 19, 2008, we will assist with the Bicentennial Tree Planting Event during the Grand Opening of the Allen & Adaline Garber Nature Center.

On May 10, 2008, we will assist with the Draft Horse Association's plowing demonstration at the Allen & Adaline Garber Nature Center.

The Friends are currently working to complete several projects at the Allen & Adaline Garber Nature Center:

1. Constucting 5 smaller bridges to cross muddy areas along the hiking trail in the forest area.
2. Preparing to construct a 500 foot long handicapped accessible boardwalk from the beginning of the parking lot out to the Old Oak tree.
3. Clearing the fence row along the new road to the forest.
